Qubit 2.0 Fluorometer
Dye-based quantification of DNA, RNA and protein.
The Qubit 2.0 Fluorometer quantifies nucleic acids and protein using dyes that fluoresce only when bound to their specific target. Because the dyes are selective, the measurement is not inflated by free nucleotides, RNA in a DNA sample, or other contaminants that affect absorbance readings.
We use Qubit values for accurate input into library preparation and sequencing, and alongside NanoDrop readings when a client needs both concentration and purity information.
Applications
- Accurate dsDNA quantification ahead of library preparation
- RNA quantification
- Protein quantification
- Final library concentration checks before sequencing
Typical Sample Types
Purified DNA, RNA, libraries and protein. Typically 1–20 µL per assay.
