Our custom atmosphere bottle preparation station is now operational. This station allows us to prepare sealed culture bottles and reaction vessels with defined gas mixtures — including nitrogen, carbon dioxide, hydrogen, and mixed gases — at controlled pressures.

This capability is important for our anaerobic microbiology and geochemistry work, where the initial headspace composition directly affects experimental outcomes. Previously, we used less precise methods to establish anaerobic conditions in sealed vessels; the dedicated station provides repeatable gas compositions and pressures.

Combined with our Coy anaerobic chamber, this gives us a complete anaerobic handling capability from bottle preparation through culture and analysis.
