We have added a Zeiss Axio Imager.A2 upright research microscope to our instrument lineup. The Axio Imager provides brightfield, phase contrast, darkfield, and fluorescence imaging capabilities for biological, environmental, and materials science applications.

The system is equipped with a digital camera for image capture and documentation, and supports a range of objectives from low-magnification survey to oil-immersion for cellular detail.

Microscopy supports several areas of our work: examining microbial cultures from bioreactor studies, assessing tissue or biofilm samples before extraction, verifying cell density and morphology, and providing visual documentation for client reports. Having this capability in-house eliminates the need to rely on external facilities for basic microscopy needs.
