PerkinElmer Tri-Carb 4910TR Liquid Scintillation Counter
Measurement of beta-emitting radioisotopes such as ³H, ¹⁴C and ³⁵S.
Liquid scintillation counting measures radioactivity by mixing a sample with a scintillation cocktail that emits light when struck by radiation. The counter detects these light pulses and converts them to activity.
The Tri-Carb 4910TR supports radiotracer studies in which a labeled compound is followed through a biological or chemical process, including our 35S sulfate reduction rate measurements.
Applications
- Sulfate reduction rate measurements using 35S
- Radiotracer uptake and metabolism studies with 3H and 14C
- Radiolabeled substrate turnover experiments
- Environmental radiochemistry
Typical Sample Types
Vials containing aqueous or organic samples, filters or traps mixed with scintillation cocktail.
