2023 marks the twenty-fifth anniversary of Great Midwest Laboratories. A quarter century of operation is a meaningful milestone for any small business, and we are grateful to the clients, collaborators, and staff members who have made it possible.

When GML began in 1998, our capabilities were limited to basic water chemistry and a handful of standard analytical methods. Today, our laboratory supports a range of services from gas chromatography and high-resolution mass spectrometry to next-generation DNA sequencing. The thread connecting all of this is the same: careful work, direct communication, and a genuine interest in solving our clients' analytical problems.

We have no plans to stop growing. Several equipment additions are planned for this year, and we continue to develop our molecular biology services based on the encouraging response from clients since we began offering sequencing in 2022.
