Photon Systems Instruments FluorCam FC 800-MF
Chlorophyll and multicolor fluorescence imaging of plants and algae.
The FluorCam is an imaging fluorometer that photographs the fluorescence emitted by leaves, whole plants, algal cultures and other samples. Chlorophyll fluorescence reports on the efficiency of photosynthesis, and changes often appear before any visible symptoms of stress.
Because it produces images rather than a single value, the FluorCam shows how stress or damage is distributed across a leaf or sample.
Applications
- Photosynthetic efficiency (Fv/Fm) and quenching analysis
- Early detection of drought, nutrient, heat and chemical stress
- Screening of plant lines and treatments
- Algal and cyanobacterial culture health
- Multicolor (blue-green and red) fluorescence imaging
Typical Sample Types
Leaves, seedlings, small plants, algal cultures and microplates.
