A Class II biological safety cabinet draws air through HEPA filters to create a clean work area. Inflow air protects the operator, filtered downflow protects the sample from contamination, and filtered exhaust protects the laboratory environment.
All culture work and handling of potentially infectious or contamination-sensitive samples is performed in the cabinet. It is certified on a regular schedule as part of our quality program.
