A major milestone in our molecular biology expansion: the Illumina MiSeq Sequencing System has been installed, qualified, and is now accepting client projects.

The MiSeq is a benchtop next-generation sequencer capable of producing millions of paired-end reads per run. Our initial applications focus on 16S/18S/ITS amplicon sequencing for microbial community profiling, targeted gene sequencing, and small genome projects. The system supports a range of Illumina library preparation kits and read-length configurations.

We have spent the past several months developing and validating our library preparation workflows, running control samples, and establishing bioinformatics pipelines for common analysis types. Sequencing is the most complex service we have ever offered, and we wanted to ensure our processes were solid before opening this to clients.
