With the GC-MS system now fully operational and validated, we are accepting a wider range of chromatographic projects. Current capabilities include headspace analysis, purge-and-trap methods, direct liquid injection, and both split and splitless inlet configurations.

The mass selective detector has proven particularly useful for clients who need compound confirmation in complex environmental or industrial matrices. Several recent projects involved identification of unknown peaks in process water samples, where the mass spectral library search provided definitive answers that retention time alone could not.
